Team Bios

Tim Longhurst is a futurist with a particular interest in innovation programs and communication trends. Drawing on research and case-studies from around the world, Tim's presentations demonstrate that the future has arrived - it's just not evenly distributed yet.

Kim Chen is one of the co-founders of Tjoos Pty Ltd, a Sydney based startup focused on finding the best consumer discount codes for online stores. Her interest in technology and innovation stems from the ten years she spent living and working in Silicon Valley prior to moving to Sydney. In prior careers, Kim worked as a strategy consultant as well as an applications developer for Oracle.

Malcolm Lambert is the founder of Intresto Pty Ltd, a Sydney tech startup researching software solutions for reducing greenhouse gas emissions in the construction industry. Formerly an atmospheric physicist Malcolm is now discovering the difference between science and business.

Andrew Flick has recently finished his Business & Accounting degrees. While at university he was awarded the Young Business Person of the Year in the Young Achievement Australia entrepreneurial program for the ACT/NSW region and was the editor of the National Business Plan of the year in 2006. He is currently working in Food manufacturing but has a keen interest in the tech entrepreneurial sector.

Marco De Bruin is a software architect with Procusys, an online SaaS procurement system for perishable products. His interest in entrepreneurship stems from a desire to use his expertise to implement cool technologies and also so he can impress his wife, Miranda. For Marco, technology is ever changing, always challenging and never boring.

Lee Goodman is an IT contractor for various industries – primarily around Microsoft and Siebel technologies. Lee first became interested in entrepreneurship nearly ten years ago in order to be in charge of his own destiny and escape the corporate grind (an ongoing process). To Lee, technology is most interesting in its ability to create a global community.

David Vandenberg is a web developer for Massive Interactive. Prior to that, he was an original part-owner of ePharmacy and co-founder of TheLab in Brisbane, a web development company. The ability to create tangible products that affect people’s everyday lives drives David’s continuing interest in innovation and entrepreneurship.
